Choosing the right size for your companion animal
The leash is one of the essential everyday things for you and your four-legged friend to have an enjoyable walk. It’s even required by law when your dog is out in most places. Use this as a guide for choosing the right size and length to gain control over the walk outside.

Length
Short (3 ft., approximately 90cm*)
“For highly trafficked areas, like a busy city street”
Three feet is the ideal length for keeping your dog from getting in others’ way or getting wrapped around poles and lampposts. It allows you to safely control unexpected behaviors, such as running into a driveway or jumping onto a person. It’s also great for controlling your dog who frequently picks up food on the ground while walking. The total length is 3 ft. (90cm), excluding the handle.
Long (6 ft., approximately 180cm*)
“For walking in neighborhoods or lesstrafficked areas”
Six feet is the most common length for dog leashes and is ideal for walking in neighborhoods or less trafficked areas. A six feet leash allows your dog room to explore, without leaving so much slack that the leash drags on the ground or gets tangled around your dog’s legs or your own. The total length is 6 ft. (180cm), excluding the handle.
*Please note that there could be a ±2cm allowance on the total length.
