Tilancia Ionansa
Tillandsia ionantha
<Short description of air plant>
Air plants do not take root in the ground, but stick to trees or rocks as roots.
It is a plant that absorbs airborne floats and moisture. Also called'air plants' and'air plants'.
Air plants survive by sucking water and nutrients through the leaves in the wild.
Even when growing in the house, watering and pruning can be kept to a minimum. Touching it with your hands doesn't really affect you.
It is an indoor plant that can be raised by children and is like a friend with no harm to pets.
Light-Most air plants like bright indirect light. Avoid only window areas where sunlight is strong during summer.
Direct sunlight can cause plants to wither or shrivel and dehydrate.
Temperature-10~30℃ during the day and cooler indoor temperature at night is suitable for most air plant types.
Flowering-Ionansa blooms every 9 months, but the flowering period is very short.
Watering-It is better to soak it in water about once a week (about 30 minutes), and in warm weather, it is good to spray water with a sprayer occasionally.
After watering, the plants should be gently brushed or turned over to remove excess moisture (so that the leaves do not rot).
You also need to water before noon so the plants are dry enough before the chilly night falls. (Please use room temperature water.)
When leaves fall-Airplant creates new leaves in the middle of the body.
Therefore, it is a natural phenomenon that the old leaves on the outside gradually dry out and fall off.
If you see dry leaves, you can gently push them down to remove them.
